Combine the ingredients for the marinade in a bowl, and add the chicken, cover and marinade for 1 hour.
If the skewers are wooden soak them in cold water for 30 minutes to prevent them burning on the barbecue.
To assemble the skewers thread a piece of chicken, then a piece of chorizo, a piece of red pepper, a piece of chicken, a piece of chorizo, a piece of green pepper and so on. Brush with a little oil to prevent sticking.
Barbecue the skewers on a medium heat for 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally, until chicken is fully cooked
